Privacy and cookies
What this site collects.
This site is run by Efrén Rodríguez Rodríguez, trading as Penedo Labs, from Galicia, Spain. You can reach me at hello@penedolabs.com about anything on this page.
If you decline, nothing happens
No analytics script is downloaded and no cookie is set. The site makes no request to any third party at all. That is the default until you choose otherwise.
If you accept
The site loads PostHog and records how the site is being used. It sees:
- Pages you open, and when you leave them
- Clicks on links and buttons. The text of what you clicked, not anything you type
- Your browser, operating system, screen size and language
- The page that sent you here, if any
- An approximate location worked out from your IP address, usually to city level
It does not record your screen, your mouse movements, or the contents of any field. Session recording, dead-click tracking, performance tracking and surveys are all switched off in the configuration.
Cookies
-
PostHog sets cookies beginning
ph_to recognise the same browser across visits. Only after you accept. - Your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. It exists only so the site stops asking, and it never leaves your device.
- Light or dark theme is also kept in local storage, for the same reason.
Where it goes
To PostHog's European infrastructure, hosted in Germany. Data stays in the EU. PostHog processes it on my behalf and I am the only person with access to this project. I do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
How long it is kept
Analytics data is retained for as long as the PostHog project exists. If you want yours removed, write to me and I will delete it.
Changing your mind
Every page has a Cookies button in the footer. It clears your answer and asks again, so withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting was. Clearing your browser data for this site has the same effect.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being processed. Write to hello@penedolabs.com. If you are not satisfied with my answer you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD.
